EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES 
 

Operator   Operate equipment necessary to perform the work of various tasks in highway, utility and other construction projects.  Maintain equipment in good working order.

Truck Driver  Must have a Commercial Driver's License with proper endorsements.  Position will be required to drive a truck to transport material to and from specified destinations.  Coordinate with dispatcher all necessary documentation.  Maintain equipment in good working order.

Landscape Worker  Must have current licenses for handling pesticides and other  necessary to perform maintenance work.  Must possess a knowledge of plants and grass care and the skills necessary to operate equipment used in maintenance operations.

Laborer  The following is a partial list of tasks to be performed by a laborer.  Digs, spreads and levels dirt and gravel, using pick and shovel. Lifts, carries and holds building materials, tools and supplies. Cleans tools, equipment, materials and work areas. Mixes, pours and spreads concrete, asphalt and other materials using hand tools. Handles, places, joins, wraps and seals sections of pipe. Drives stakes. Assists in placing and removing construction forms. Assists in clearing operation by using hand held implements. Assist in planting or seeding operations by using hand held implements.

Pipelayer  Must have knowledge and skill necessary for the proper installation of pipe material for water and sewer projects.  Assists in setting up grades for pipe installation and testing of pipe installation.

Mechanics  Inspects, repairs , and maintains all parts of the tools, machinery, vehicles, equipment and associated facilities necessary for the construction of highways, utilities, and other construction projects.  Completes documentation of inspections, repairs and maintenance.  Must have own tools.
